Jennifer Garner Dazzles in Black Crystals at 2026 Golden Globes Red Carpet
Jennifer Garner looked stunning in black during a rare appearance at the 2026 Golden Globes.
Garner, 53, arrived at the 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 11. The actress donned a sleeveless custom black crystal Cong Tri gown. Garner completed the look with black pointed-toe shoes and diamond earrings.
For her hair, Garner opted to keep it down and wavy. Her makeup was glowy and she added a pop of color with a pink lip.
This is Garner’s return to the awards show in more than a decade. Her last attendance was in 2013. Garner will be serving as a presenter for this year’s ceremony.
The last time Garner attended the Golden Globes, her then-husband, Ben Affleck, won Best Director for his film Argo. In his speech, Affleck, now 53, thanked Garner and their three children, Violet, now 20, Seraphina, now 17, and Samuel, now 13, in his acceptance speech.
“I want to thank my three kids. I love you guys,” Affleck said at the time. “And I want to thank my wife, who is the reason I am standing here. I adore you, I love you so much. Thanks for sitting through this, you’re my everything.”
In 2015, Affleck and Garner announced they split after a decade of marriage. The pair finalized their divorce three years later.
Days before the Golden Globes, Garner opened up about the struggles she went through during her divorce from Affleck.
“You have to be smart about what you can and can’t handle, and I could not handle what was out there,” she said in an interview with Marie Claire UK published on Wednesday, January 7. “But what was out there was not what was hard. The fact of it is what was hard. The actual breaking up of a family is what was hard. Losing a true partnership and friendship is what was hard.”
While Garner had a hard time adjusting at first, she and Affleck have reshaped their connection over the years as they coparent their kids.
“I’m able to coparent at this point in time with peace and equanimity and a partnership that I didn’t know I would ever get back to,” Garner explained. “I think it’s important for women to know, when they think, ‘Oh, I’ll never see that, I’ll never have that feeling, I’ll never be friends with this person again’ [that] time is the opportunity. Time is the opportunity to heal. Time is the opportunity to forgive, to move on and to find a new way to be friends.”
Following her split from Affleck, Garner moved on with current boyfriend John Miller, whom she has been dating since 2018.

Affleck, for his part, went on to rekindle his romance with former fiancee Jennifer Lopez. The pair wed in 2022. Two years later. Lopez, 56, filed for divorce after two years of marriage.
Amid his split from Lopez, Affleck was spotted with Garner on multiple occasions, sparking speculation of a potential reconciliation. A source exclusively told Us Weekly that despite the rumors, the exes work best as friends.
“Their relationship has evolved into a strong friendship,” the insider said of Affleck and Garner in March 2025 “Jen is a grounding and trusting force in Ben’s life.”
