NFL Week 5 scores live updates: Bills roll over Steelers, Texans earn first win
12-9 overtime victory. Both teams labored without a touchdown in the game — much to the dismay of fans in attendance.
In the early slate, the New York Giants defeated the Green Bay Packers in London, England. Giants star Saquon Barkley had 106 total yards and a touchdown in the 27-22 victory.
Week 5 also featured a lot of divisional matchups. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady remained undefeated against the Atlanta Falcons. The Jacksonville Jaguars outlasted the Houston Texans.
Meanwhile, Buffalo Bills receiver Gabe Davis and New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson had career days in the early slate.
Week 5 concludes with two primetime matchups. The Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens renew their AFC North rivalry on Sunday evening. The Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs conclude Week 5 action on Monday Night Football.

Indianapolis Colts 12, Denver Broncos 9
Briefly: The Colts pulled out an ugly win against the Broncos. Colts cornerback Stephon Gilmore made two big plays down the stretch. Gilmore intercepted Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson in the fourth quarter and had the game-winning pass breakup in overtime.
One highlight to know: Colts kicker Chase McLaughlin nailed a game-winning, 48-yard field goal in overtime.

Briefly: The Giants overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to outlast the Packers in London. The Packers were held in check with just two points in the second half. Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale flustered Aaron Rodgers as the Packers were 4-for-10 on third downs. Giants star Saquon Barkley had 70 rushing yards including the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter.
One highlight to know: The Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger scored a two-yard rushing touchdown on a double reverse just before halftime.
Next up: The Giants host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6. The Packers return home to play the New York Jets.
Buffalo Bills 38, Pittsburgh Steelers 3
Briefly: The Bills improved to 3-1 behind a career day from receiver Gabe Davis. The talented speedster hauled in three catches for 171 yards and two touchdowns. Bills quarterback Josh Allen turned in another 400-yard performance as Steelers rookie Kenny Pickett completed 34 of 52 passes for 327 yards in his first NFL start.
One highlight to know: Bills receiver Gabe Davis hauled in a 98-yard touchdown on the third play from scrimmage.
Next up: The Bills play the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of their AFC Divisional postseason classic. The Steelers will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Los Angeles Chargers 30, Cleveland Browns 28
Briefly: Austin Ekeler recorded 199 total yards and two touchdowns to propel the Chargers to victory. Ekeler averaged 10.8 yards per carry and stamped his dazzling performance with a 71-yard run. The Browns had a chance late, but kicker Cade York missed a go-ahead 54-yard field goal attempt.
One highlight to know: Chargers star Austin Ekeler scored a 22-yard touchdown to give the Los Angeles a third-quarter lead.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 25 of 47 passes for 286 yards and two interceptions in defeat.
One highlight to know: Dameon Pierce breaks multiple tackles as he rumbles for 20 yards in the fourth quarter.
Next up: The Texans have a bye week. The Jaguars will host the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6.
New England Patriots 29, Detroit Lions 0
Briefly: The Patriots defense put on a clinic against the NFL’s top scoring unit. The Lions mustered just 312 yards of total offense. The Patriots owned the time of possession as rookie quarterback Bailey Zappe earned his first NFL victory. He had help from running back Rhamondre Stevenson, who erupted for 161 rushing yards.
One highlight to know: Patriots receiver Jakobi Meyers hauled in a 24-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with seven catches for 111 yards.

What to know: The 49ers are on a short week after a big Week 4 win. Defense travels and the 49ers have one of the league’s best units. It’s a bad recipe for the Panthers as their offense continues to struggle with QB Baker Mayfield under center.
