She founded her self-titled brand in 2005.
And Jessica Simpson reclaimed full ownership of her billion-dollar business after buying back a portion of the company which had previously been owned by Sequential Brands Group Inc.

Blessings: Jessica Simpson reclaimed full ownership of her billion-dollar business after buying back a portion of the company which had previously been owned by Sequential Brands Group Inc.
Jessica and Tina showed off their bright smiles as they posed for a quick snap shared to Instagram last week.
‘TODAY after 3 years of hearing ‘NO. IT’S IMPOSSIBLE. STAND DOWN. ITS TOO HARD,’ she wrote in a lengthy caption. ‘I am truly humbled to reclaim 100% ownership of MY name and my brand. It was a long journey getting to this point.
‘I was told no, that brand ownership was out of the question, that I was not relevant enough, and I would never have 100%. My mom @tinasimpsonofficial and I remained steadfast, patient, determined, brave, and STRONG.

‘TODAY we can look back and say we BEAT ALL ODDS stacked against us. We withstood the battle and today we CONFIDENTLY claim victory! The entire Jessica Simpson Collection belongs to us! #OwnYourself’
Simpson and her mother owned 37.5% of the brand when Sequential began divesting brands from its portfolio after filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August.
Sequential purchased 62.5% of Jessica’s brand, which sells clothing, shoes, accessories, in 2015 from the Camuto Group.
The Jessica Simpson Collection initially launched in 2005 as a shoe collaboration with Nine West co-founder Vince Camuto, but found so much success that it continued to add on apparel, perfumes and luggage, and currently holds 22 different licenses.
‘It means the absolute world to me to be able to take over complete ownership of my brand,’ Jessica told Footwear News in October. ‘After 16 years in business I feel ready to meet this next exciting phase with open arms’ (seen in February 2020)
‘It means the absolute world to me to be able to take over complete ownership of my brand,’ Jessica told Footwear News in October. ‘After 16 years in business I feel ready to meet this next exciting phase with open arms. I know the sky is the limit when my mom, our incredible team and I lock into our customers completely.’
While Simpson is excited about new opportunities in the fashion world, she’s touching back down to her musical roots with the recent release of a new song which debuted on Thursday, Nov. 11.
She belted out a cover of Particles by the band Nothing But Thieves, a song with themes of addiction which is an ode to her own struggle with alcohol after marking four years of sobriety.
‘The whole idea of music heals is a very real statement to me,’ Simpson wrote in the description. ‘This song healed a broken piece of me.’
