Talk show host Wendy Williams has been reportedly struggling with health issues – even spotted in New York City in a wheelchair – but that will not stop her from debuting a new season of The Wendy Williams Show.
The show’s Twitter and Instagram unveiled new teaser trailer for Season 13 of the syndicated talk show, which debuts Monday, October 4.
The brief video shows an elevator door opening with the number 13 button pressed, as Williams is heard saying, ‘The wait is over.’

She’s seen hopping into her chair and says, ‘Season 13, the fun continues,’ as the video comes to an end.
The 13th season was originally slated to debut on September 20, though the debut was pushed to October 4 following her testing positive for COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated.

‘To allow Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover and to ensure that our production abides by all SAG/AFTRA and DGA COVID protocols, we expect to begin the 13th season of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ on Monday, October 4th,’ the statement concluded.
The video comes just four days after she was spotted in New York City with her son, Kelvin Hunter Jr. while an aide pushed her in a wheelchair.

There have also been reports that Williams has been hospitalized for psychiatric issues, while sources claim she was, ‘drinking every day, even while filming the show.
‘Everyone is an enabler because they don’t want to lose their job. They see it, they know it, they smelled the liquor,’ an unnamed source told The Sun.
She had previously checked herself into a sober home in 2019 following her divorce from Kevin Hunter, but that was the only time she was sober.

‘Wendy drinks every day and the only time she was sober was when she was at the sober house,’ the source continued.
While her staffers are ‘worried’ about her, ‘no one is ever going to speak up because they don’t want to lose their jobs.’
‘She’s an alcoholic. A bad one. She doesn’t need a talk show, she needs help,’ the source added.
