admission was largely limited to California residents, with some theme parks making exceptions for out-of-state visitors with proof of vaccination.
“On June 15, amusement parks and theme parks will be allowed to resume normal operations, meaning a return to full capacity with no physical distancing requirements,” the California Department of Public Heath said in a statement to USA TODAY. However that doesn’t mean things will return to pre-pandemic conditions.
Even though theme parks are allowed to return to full capacity, each park’s pace will vary as operations and local guidelines allow, and policies are subject to change based on safety conditions. Additionally, parks will need to follow the state’s broader guidance as outdoor mega events.
Avengers Campus:Disneyland puts Marvel fans in action with Spider-Man, Wakanda warriors
Everyone wants to take a summer trip:Are you actually ready to join them?
Here’s what guests should expect at some of California’s biggest theme parks starting Tuesday.
Disneyland visitors should note that the FastPass system for cutting attraction wait times is still not available. However, virtual queues are available and highly recommended for WEB Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure at the new Avengers Campus and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. On-site temperature checks will no longer be required.
California’s Public Health department strongly recommends guests be fully vaccinated or test negative for COVID-19 before visiting theme parks.
