Houston Texans WR Will Fuller hit with six-game PED suspension

Texans’ 41-25 Thanksgiving Day blowout of the Detroit Lions said that he was prescribed medication earlier this year that his doctor “believed to be permitted under the NFL’s drug policy.”

“As it turns out,” Fuller writes, “my trust in this professional was misplaced because this medication was NOT a permitted substance under the NFL Policy on Performance Enhancing Substances.”

The suspension will last through the remainder of the 2020 regular season and one game into the 2021 season.

“I want to sincerely apologize to the Texans organization and all of my fans for this mistake. I am looking forward to putting this all behind me and returning better than ever in 2021,” Fuller said.

A major big-play threat, Fuller leads all Texans wide receivers in snaps this year, as well as in receptions (53), receiving yards (879) and touchdowns (8).

He is in his fifth professional season and will be a free agent at the end of this year.
