The sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is still on track for a 2022 release.
The superhero film was originally slated to come out on April 8, 2022, and despite scheduling setbacks due to COVID-19 is still on course for a release sometime that year, according to a tweet by animator Nick Kondo on Tuesday.
His tweet showed a brief video of the film’s logo, along with the number ‘2022’. Â

The film and video game technician captioned the tweet, ‘First day on the job!’ indicating that the highly-anticipated film had only just started production.Â
