No tennis actor has been some-more widespread or successful in a past dual decades than Serena Williams, who during 33 years aged shows no signs of negligence down. Her 19 career Grand Slam titles is tied for third all-time, besting greats like Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert. And, with 6 more, she will obscure Margaret Court for tops in a sport’s history. And yet, while Williams stays wakeful of her conflict on a record books, she doesn’t concentration all on it.
In a new talk with The Huffington Post, she discussed her adore of fashion, what motivates her to keep winning and her post-career seductiveness — that might warn even a many fervent Serena supporters. (It should be remarkable that HuffPost was asked directly not to scrutinise about Williams and Indian Wells
Aside from your on-court success, we have gotten concerned with several other projects as well. What are some of a things we find yourself gravitating toward divided from tennis?
Well I’ve always been famous as someone who does a lot of things. we have a passion for dancing, passion for … everything. I’m study pre-med right now. I’m a small bit overwhelmed, we had a midterm final night. That was a large plea for me, and something opposite that routinely we wouldn’t indispensably do.
Tell me about a pre-med, that’s unequivocally cool. How did that occur for you?

I only wanted to do something opposite and we wanted to plea myself. Being in tennis, we schooled so most about my physique and injuries, so for me it’s such an easy switch. I’m only reckoning it out and training about myself and about my body.
Is that something we would wish to pursue with medicine following your career?
I substantially would. we kind of have to see, I’m not unequivocally certain yet. we substantially would.
I was reading something, Serena, where we pronounced we were during a indicate in your career where we didn’t need to infer anything. How do we stay so encouraged on a court?
Well we stay encouraged by only environment opposite goals for myself, removing opposite opportunities for myself, each year. At a finish of a year we consider of what we wish to do for subsequent year. And that’s fun, they’re fun goals. It’s fun to see if we can strech those goals, if we can pull yourself and kind of plea yourself to strech those goals. And also only vital in a impulse and vital for now.
I feel like athletes, or people in general, only get so held adult in what we’re perplexing to do next, and maybe infrequently forget about a benefaction as a result. So how does that describe for you?

Yeah … that’s kind of like a mantra, “living for now.†It can describe to so many people, since we’re all held adult in what we’ve finished wrong or “shoulda, shoulda, shoulda” or “I will, we will, we will.” It’s never right now. It’s always good to learn from a past, devise for a future, though we have to live in a present. You have to live in a now, and we’re all essay to do that. No one’s unequivocally ideal during it, though we’re still essay for it.
Your Oscar dress
Well we wanted to be bold, so we was looking for something unequivocally bold. we wanted a tone red, and after that it kind of grew from there and only kept growing. we was operative with a good engineer and it only kept kind of growing.
Was there somebody there that we hadn’t met that we were unequivocally vehement about? An actor or an actress?
I don’t know, we was kind of only there in a moment. I’ve been there so many times, and it’s always a same people behind each year, so we kind of get to see your friends again.
