Statistics Canada says production sales fell 0.7 per cent to $57.1 billion in Oct as sales of travel apparatus changed lower, due in partial to a strike during General Motors in a United States.
Economists had approaching no change for October, according to financial markets information organisation Refinitiv, though Statistics Canada says Oct had a second uninterrupted monthly decrease in altogether production sales.
Sales fell in 11 of 21 industries, representing 48.8 per cent of sum production sales.
The travel apparatus zone fell 3.1 per cent to $11.0 billion in Oct as engine car public and engine car tools sales forsaken due in partial to a 40-day strike by a United Auto Workers strike during General Motors in a United States.
Sales of built steel products forsaken 8.2 per cent to $3.3 billion.
