Ontario starts merging health agencies, fires 9 LHIN executives

Ontario is starting to combine a province’s vital health agencies such as Cancer Care Ontario and eHealth underneath one powerful and banishment a CEOs of 9 Local Health Integration Networks.

Those CEOs will accept a sum of $3 million in severance. The province’s 14 LHINs and 6 health agencies will be combined into a new super group called Ontario Health for an estimated $350 million a year in savings.
