The discuss over President Obama’s honesty toward Cuba will play out Tuesday night opposite a backdrop of a State of a Union Address.
House Speaker John Boehner and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a initial Cuban American inaugurated to Congress, both invited distinguished leaders of Cuba’s pro-democracy transformation as their guest for Obama’s speech. These activists join Rosa Maria Payá, Sen. Marco Rubio’s guest
Jorge Luis Garcia Perez, famous as Antunez, and Yris Tamara Perez Aguilera will be sitting in Boehner’s box in a House cover during a corner congressional session. Garcia Perez spent 17 years in jail for vocalization out opposite tellurian rights violations by a Castro regime and for his pro-democracy efforts. He was expelled in 2007.
Ros-Lehtinen’s guest is Marlene Alejandre Triana, a daughter of a commander for Brothers to a Rescue, an classification founded by Cuban exiles that helps refugees.  Armando Alejandre Jr., Marlene’s father, was among 4 people killed when a Cuban atmosphere force shot down dual planes belonging to Brothers to a Rescue in 1996.
“Relations with a Castro regime should not be revisited, let alone normalized, until a Cuban people suffer leisure — and not one second sooner,†Boehner pronounced when Obama announced in Dec a change in process toward Cuba.
Obama has no goal of shying divided from his Cuba process or stealing from a critique lobbed by Republicans and their guests.
Alan Gross, a American executive who was expelled from a Cuban jail final month, will be sitting with initial lady Michelle Obama during the speech as one of a president’s guests. Gross was expelled a same day Obama announced a U.S. would restore tactful ties to Cuba
Gross and his wife, Judy, will expected be concurred by a boss during his remarks, as is prevalent during State of a Union speeches.
