How many times has a politician pronounced “there ought to be a law†… about college football diversion times?
Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton has a lot on his image as he looks forward to a start of his second term, though one thing he wants to understanding with is a start time for Minnesota Gopher games. The newly re-elected Democrat told a Pioneer Presskickoff times
“If we wish to tailgate, we have to be there by 9 a.m.,†Dayton told a St. Paul newspaper. “Most students we don’t consider are watchful during 9 a.m.â€
Football diversion times — generally for large schools that count on TV income — are mostly dynamic by a networks. The Gophers, who play Missouri on New Year’s Day in a Citrus Bowl, had 4 games this year with 11 a.m. kickoffs.
Turns out college diversion times have been on Dayton’s mind for a while. He conceded to Pioneer Press
“I got talked out of it each year,†Dayton said, generally during choosing time.
