In all, a plan collected 682,980 tweets and held 19,195 deletions. Politwoops says usually 5,203 of those deletions were “approved†and screened out for typos, improper Twitter handles and passed links.
Politwoops pronounced a many important deleted tweets in 2014 were about Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was expelled in May by a Taliban after 5 years of captivity.

One deleted twitter from Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., read: “Welcome home, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. A beholden America interjection we for your service.â€
This was a “muffed punt of a domestic football,†as Politwoops said.
