Trudeau and B.C. North Coast First Nations announce sea insurance agreement

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau assimilated First Nations leaders Thursday to announce a partnership with 14 B.C. North Coast First Nations in handling and safeguarding sea ecosystems along two-thirds of B.C.’s north coast.

The press conference, hold in Prince Rupert, was scheduled to symbol National Indigenous Peoples Day.

The agreement  which falls underneath a $1.5 billion Oceans Protection Plan, and was framed as a step toward Indigenous reconciliation.

“This is a really large day for both settlement and a sourroundings for Canada.” pronounced Trudeau. 

“Ocean’s insurance contingency be inland led,” pronounced Heiltsuk Chief Marilyn Slett, whose nation was influenced by a Nathan E. Stewart oil spill. “Those with attribute to a sea should be charged with responding to threats to a ocean.”

Trudeau pronounced another proclamation around sea reptile charge was entrance tomorrow.
