This free app is for computers running Windows 8 or 10. Install the mySMS app on your phone first, then click the blue Get the App button in the Microsoft Store on a compatible computer.
After that, you’ll sync your computer and phone and be able to send texts from the former without hassles or cumbersome setup processes.
7. Send a text with any email account
Many people don’t realize they can send text messages from their computers by using an email program without depending on a third-party service. Doing so requires knowing the recipient’s mobile number and the associated “@gateway†address for the service provider.
For example, if a person is a Verizon customer, you’d send an email by inserting [person’s mobile number without spaces]@vtext.com into the “To:†field and then writing your text in the message body. Keep the content brief, though, because many providers impose a 160- character limit.
