Apple on Thursday introduced an update to iOS designed to fix an issue following complaints by users. According to Apple’s release notes, the arrival of iOS 11.1.2 fixes an issue that caused some iPhone X displays to become unresponsive in cold weather.

Seeing as temperatures are dropping across the U.S. right now, you can see why this would be a problem.

iOS 11.1.2 includes bug fixes for your iPhone and iPad. This update:

– Fixes and issue where the iPhone X screen becomes temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid temperature drop
– Addresses an issue that could cause distortion in Live Photos and videos captured with iPhone X

The software arrives among a flurry of updates from Apple, including a beta that promises to bring Apple Pay Cash to the masses. To download the update, head to Settings General Software Update.

Today’s update precludes iOS 11.2, which is expected to feature Apple’s peer-to-peer payment service, along with support for faster 7.5W wireless charging.
