When the Switch received its 4.0.0 update, one of the standout features was the ability to record short video clips directly to the portable console. Turns out, people are having a blast with the new feature, especially while playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
First spotted by Kotaku, dozens of Switch players are showing off their skills while playing Breath of the Wild, finding particularly creative (and gruesome) ways to slay enemies. There are several videos on Twitter that show players absolutely obliterating members of the Yiga clan by taking advantage of the game’s different mechanics.
As you’d expect, the clips are both entertaining and hilarious.

What makes the short videos so effective is how ordinary they seem until the very end. Who knew Breath of the Wild would be such a great source for slapstick comedy? I feel like I’m watching a Looney Tunes cartoon.
When the Switch’s most recent update initially hit, the video recording feature seemed limited because it only allowed users to capture brief clips. But leave it to Nintendo’s fervent fanbase to find creative and entertaining ways to use the feature.
With Super Mario Odyssey coming out this Friday, I anxiously await the clips that will be posted.
