VRLA Expo: What’s next for virtual reality?

You’re probably familiar with the virtual reality efforts from Google and Oculus. These are the heavyweights pivoting to making virtual reality the next big thing in personal technology. The big companies have a platform to develop and refine their efforts, but what about the smaller guys who also hope to push the technology forward? Events like VRLA help give these smaller companies the much-deserved spotlight.

VRLA, or Virtual Reality Los Angeles, is a summer expo that aims to highlight not only big companies but also smaller developers who are helping to build the foundation of the virtual reality movement. We had a chance to check out the event and see what new and exciting things are happening in the world of VR. Check out the video above to see some of the cool concepts we saw at VRLA.
