The Pan Am Experience: Uniting The Unfriendly Skies
I was floored. This illusory moody was distinct anything we had ever experienced. As a child of a 90’s, we grew adult in a universe where drifting was synonymous with pointless pat downs, glass limits, and container fees. A universe where a planes and airlines kept removing bigger, while all else seemed to shrink—seats, legroom, meals, and patience. The initial time we saw a viral United Airlines “re-booking†assault, where newcomer David Dao was beaten and dragged off a craft by airfield police, we clearly remember being frightened though not surprised. This was not out of a area of things airlines could do—an atmosphere of transport so depersonalized and dehumanizing that a newcomer could be literally dragged off an aeroplane like a square of luggage.
