Spirit Airlines in a statement to USA TODAY thanked “our crew and Guests for their quick actions to ensure the safety of everyone onboard, and we thank first responders for meeting the aircraft.”
“We provided refunds and vouchers, and we arranged alternate ground transportation for our Guests from Jacksonville to Orlando,” the airline said.
United Airlines flight were taken to a hospital after flight crew reported a “laptop on fire in the cabin,” on a flight between San Diego International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport.
