Zendaya Wears ‘Something Borrowed’ From Cate Blanchett at ‘The Drama’ Premiere
Zendaya honored bridal tradition by wearing “something borrowed” during The Drama press tour.
Zendaya, 29, rocked a chic Giorgio Armani dress originally donned by Cate Blanchett at The Drama premiere in Rome on Thursday, March 26. The actress slayed in the back gown featuring a plunging neckline adorned with shiny stones and a mermaid skirt finished with pockets.
Zendaya made her look even more glamorous with statement diamond stud earrings by Louis Vuitton.
She stunned with a full beat, including dewy skin, filled-in eyebrows, rosy eyeshadow, blushed cheeks and pink, lined lips. Her brunette hair was parted to the side and styled in loose waves, with strands falling over her forehead.
Her longtime stylist, Law Roach, confirmed that Zendaya was wearing the exact dress that Blanchett, 56, wore at the 2025 Venice Film Festival and the 2022 Actor Awards, previously known as the SAG Awards.
“Zendaya wearing the @giorgioarmani gown and @louisvuitton high jewels worn first by the amazing Cate Blanchett #somethingborrowed,” Roach, 47, captioned an Instagram post. He also posted a reel of both women looking their best in the design. “It’s like DejaVu,” he wrote.
Blanchett first wore the design in 2022. At the time, she accessorized with black rings, pointed-toe heels and dangling earrings. She turned up the heat with smokey eyes, pink lips and loose, curly hair.
Blanchett couldn’t get enough of the dress and reprised it three years later at the La Grazia premiere during the 2025 Venice Film Festival. At the time, she wore the same earrings as Zendaya and also styled her blonde mane in a side part and beachy waves.
Zendaya’s “something borrowed” looks comes amid rumors that she and Tom Holland secretly tied the knot after getting engaged over a year ago. Earlier this month, the stylist told Access Hollywood at the 2026 Actor Awards that “the wedding already happened.”

When asked if he was being serious, Roach replied, “It’s very true.”
Zendaya then poked fun at the rumors on March 16 while making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! She hilariously shared a video of Holland’s face pasted over her Drama costar Robert Pattinson’s face as the on-screen couple walked down the aisle.
“It was a beautiful day … That was real footage,” she quipped. “That was real! I was there.”
