Twice as nice: Barbra Streisand cloned her dear dog and has 2 new pups

“If we had a possibility to do it all again, tell me would we, could we?” Barbra Streisand had a strike singing this doubt in The Way We Were, but when it comes to removing a new pet she does not have to wonder.

The Funny Girl singer and singer had her dear 14-year-old Coton de Tulear dog Samantha cloned after her genocide in 2017, and now has dual new pups.

Streisand told Hollywood trade announcement Variety in an interview published on Tuesday that cells were taken from the mouth and stomach of Samantha.

“They have opposite personalities,”Streisand said. “I’m waiting for them to get comparison so we can see if they have her brown eyes and her seriousness.”

Streisand pronounced that when a cloned dogs arrived, she dressed them in red and lavender to tell them apart, that is how they got their names: Miss Scarlett and Miss Violet.

The Oscar and Tony winning actress, 75, pronounced that while waiting for their arrival, she became soft with another dog who was a apart propinquity of Samantha.

The Coton de Tulear dog was called Funny Girl, though Streisand adopted her and gave her a name Miss Fanny, that is how Fanny Brice’s dresser refers to Streisand’s impression in a 1968 movie low-pitched that launched her career.

Streisand followed adult Funny Girl, for that she won an Oscar, with Hello Dolly! but pronounced she had never most favourite the movie.

“I suspicion we was totally miscast. we attempted to get out of it,” she told Variety. “I consider it’s so silly. It’s so old-time musical.”
