This A-Lister Helped Set Up Britney Spears’ Hair Makeover With Chris Appleton
Britney Spears’ tresses got the VIP treatment — with a little help from A-list friends.
The music icon, 44, scored a hair makeover with celebrity stylist Chris Appleton, courtesy of Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, sources exclusively tell Us Weekly.
“Britney was in good spirits when she met with Chris Appleton. Kim and Kris were the ones who actually connected Chris with Britney and her team, putting in a good word for him in an effort to help Britney with her hair,” the insider tells Us.
Spears was all smiles in a selfie with Appleton, 42, that he posted on Monday, June 1, serving shine and a whole lot of pop star polish while holding up a styling tool. An insider tells Us, “She was looking for someone to touch her up and wanted to be bright blonde again. Britney was sweet and actually shy in person and was very grateful to have her hair done.”
Appleton was just as thrilled about working his magic on the “Gimme More” hitmaker, who stunned with a freshly colored and straightened mane when all was said and done. “As a kid growing up in England, Britney Spears was the soundtrack to so many moments,” he captioned their selfie via Instagram. “Never in a million years did I think I’d one day be standing behind the chair (or in this case her standing behind mine, lol) styling her hair.”

“Some moments really do come full circle,” he gushed. “She is not only an icon, but one of the most genuinely kind and gentle souls I’ve ever met.”
Kardashian, 45, showed love in the comments section, replying, “💘💘”
Appleton previously revealed his dreams to collaborate with Spears in June 2025, when a fan suggested he give the pop star a hair makeover.

“Absolutely,” he wrote in response. “I’d so be down to do Britney, but you know what? If I was going to do her hair, it wouldn’t just be like a little touch up thing. It would have to be like a whole revamp. I feel like she’s been through enough. She deserves some big, major comeback hair.”
He admitted his “personal favorite” Spears’ hair era came from her 2001 smash hit.
“The ‘Slave 4 U’ hair was so hot,” Appleton shared in a TikTok clip. “I feel like it was so ahead of its time. The wet look, it was like sexy, piece-y, she had the bangs.”
