A 13.3-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display faces you at all times, and it’s probably going to be of excellent quality since Samsung makes top-notch screens in various industries. The Notebook 7 Spin (2018) uses Intel’s 8th generation Core i5 processor, which features four cores, to run the show. And the processor is paired with 8GB of RAM. For storage, you have 256GB to work with.
There’s no shortage of ports as the company included one USB-C port, one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, one HDMI port, and one headphone jack. Also on the exterior is a backlit keyboard and a Windows Hello-enabled fingerprint scanner.
The Notebook 7 Spin (2018) does come with some specialized software. If you purchase Samsung’s Active Pen, you’ll be able to sketch or take notes as if you’re using a regular pen and paper. Then there’s Voice Note, an app utilizing the far-field microphone to record meetings and lectures before storing them on Samsung Cloud. Studio Plus is bundled, too. The app allows you to assemble movies using pictures and videos. Samsung hopes those two things appeal to students and professionals.
And the laptop should last throughout the day. Samsung didn’t give an estimate for battery life, but we know the battery is 43Wh.
Samsung plans to release the Notebook 7 Spin (2018) in select countries, including the U.S., by the end of the first quarter. Specific pricing and availability weren’t provided, so we’ll be waiting for that.
