Terry Crews speaks about not voicing Doomfist in Overwatch

PC Gamer caught up with Terry Crews himself to find out what he thought about Blizzard’s choice. He visited the studio earlier this year, after all, to seemingly campaign for himself. Crews, it turns out, was fine with it. He offered that he didn’t “wanna be the guy that hijacks a game.” He didn’t want to be bigger than Overwatch.

“It’s funny because when I went down to Blizzard and we were talking about possibilities, I realized that I don’t wanna be the guy that hijacks a game, you know?  The creators have a vision and I didn’t want to mess that up. I was not interested in trying to hijack the game. I let them know that whatever fitted [sic] in their program, I would love to do.”

Crews did say that if he did get to work with Blizzard on something, it would be great.

“If I ever do do anything with Blizzard, you watch: It’ll be perfect. With those guys, we’re all friends, we’re all good.”
