Spotify and Pinterest are among a long list of apps acting glitchy for thousands of iPhone users on Friday.
Users of both apps began reporting problems around 6 AM EST, according to the internet monitoring service DownDetector. A USA TODAY reporter also tried running the apps, and they immediately shut down upon opening.
“Spotify is constantly crashing when opening the app. Other apps do, too,” reports one person on DownDetector. “I can open the website but I can’t open the app… come on Pinterest why?” another user complained.

“Something’s out of tune. We’re currently investigating, and we’ll keep you posted here!” the streaming service said.
The widespread service glitch seemingly stems from an issue with Facebook’s software developer kit, or SDK, for iPhone users. The code enables users to log into apps using their Facebook accounts, according to Business Insider.
“We are aware and investigating an increase in errors on the iOS SDK which is causing some apps to crash,” Facebook’s developer page says. USA TODAY reached out to Facebook for comment.
Pandora and Tinder were also among the apps not working early Friday.
