Splatoon 2 outsold Zelda in Japan after three days

Earlier this month, it was estimated that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch had sold around 540,000 units in Japan since launch. That’s strong for a Zelda title in Japan, a country that doesn’t seem as head over heels for the hero as the rest of the world.

Splatoon on the other hand? Japan loves Splatoon. According to Famitsu, in just three days since its release in Japan, Splatoon 2 was estimated to sell 670,955 copies. Over the original’s full life on the Wii U in Japan, Splatoon sold 1,205,087.

Yeah, Nintendo Switch is a big deal.
