The limited-edition console will retail for $499.99, but you’re getting a pretty good package if you’re willing to pay the $100 premium over the vanilla PS4 Pro. In addition to the fancy system itself, you’re getting a PlayStation Camera, a vertical stand, and a whopping 2TB of HDD. If you’ve been holding off on a PlayStation 4 Pro but thinking about it with Spider-Man coming this fall, hot on the heels of this spring’s God of War, this is not a bad way to do it.
I can’t help, though, but be reminded of late 1990s and early 2000s when we saw consoles get tons of translucent variants. The Hello Kitty Dreamcast is probably my favorite, but there were also about a billion (approx.) different N64 variants, from Jungle Green to Watermelon Red. We dug up a few over on Flickr:
