For a console that nobody can seem to find, the Super Nintendo is doing quite well for itself. Nintendo has confirmed that the Super Nintendo Classic Edition is selling so well that it is even outselling its rival companies’ consoles.
For the second month in a row, Nintendo has held the top two best selling pieces of hardware in the gaming industry. The Nintendo Switch naturally sits atop on the iron throne in October, but sitting just below it rests not the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One but rather, its emulation console, the Super Nintendo Classic Edition.
Overall, Nintendo’s products, including all version of the 3DS family, accounted for 2/3s of the month of October’s gaming hardware sales, totaling over 1 million total sales. The last time Nintendo achieved this was in October 2011.
Now, all we want to know is how many people who bought those SNES Classic Editions intend on keeping them… or intend of scalping them.
