‘Sinners’ Actor Jack O’Connell Rocks Blood-Soaked Fangs at the 2026 Oscars
Jack O’Connell turned heads at the 98th Academy Awards by putting a devilishly stylish spin on classic black-tie dressing.
The Sinners star, 35, showed off his dark side while flashing a grin and exposing his prosthetic, blood-soaked fangs on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, March 15.
O’Connell, who portrays the ancient vampire Remmick in the horror drama, arrived at the 2026 Oscars in a sharply tailored tuxedo.
He looked suave in a pleated white shirt and a crisp creme-colored dinner jacket paired with high-contrast black trousers, completing his look with sunglasses and shiny dress shoes.
Fans went wild over his daring style choice at the event, making it a trending topic of the night. “This look deserves its own award,” one wrote. Another commented, “Ik it’s for vampire purposes but he could’ve whitened them idk.”
A third remarked, “He came as Remmick 😭,” while a fourth quipped, “Oh he ate.”

Sinners is among the Best Picture nominees, which also include Train Dreams, F1, Bugonia, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another, The Secret Agent and Sentimental Value.
O’Connell revealed that he was instantly attracted to the role when he got the offer from acclaimed filmmaker Ryan Coogler.

“Instantly, you could tell that Remmick was very well-written, with a lot of depth,” O’Connell told W Magazine during an interview in April 2025, revealing he was “buzzing” when it topped the charts as the No. 1 movie in America.
He explained how it was a process to become Remmick — both in character and in makeup.
“The application of [prosthetics] can be a bit trying, with the contact lenses, and stuff going in and out of your mouth, things attached to your fingers,” O’Connell dished. “But once you surrender to it, things reveal themselves to you. Details make themselves apparent, and it can really help the character evolve.”
