Simone Biles Names Star Who ‘Stole’ Her Shades at Taylor Swift’s Wedding
Simone Biles is tumbling into the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding “gossip” chat with a juicy story worthy of a perfect 10.
The gymnast, 29, had the crowd laughing when she revealed that one celebrity guest unwittingly walked away with one of her beloved accessories after attending the newlyweds’ star-studded nuptials at the iconic Madison Square Garden on July 3.
“Question: Can you give us a piece of gossip from Taylor Swift’s wedding? Simone Biles: Avril Lavigne stole my sunglasses,” one social media user captioned a viral TikTok clip of Biles appearing at the Faces of Fitness festival in Chicago on Sunday, July 26.
The clip captured the end of Biles’ storytelling, when she talked about sending a direct message to the “Complicated” singer, 41, via Instagram to “be like, ‘Yo, can I get those YSLs back?’”
“Um, but I don’t think she’s seen it yet. Yeah,” Biles continued of her missing shades. (Lavigne has yet to publicly comment on the mishap.)

Biles was joined by her plus-one, Indianapolis Colts safety and husband Jonathan Owens, for the special occasion. She stunned in a leather and tulle halter dress from Đỗ Long‘s Emerge collection, while her beau, 31, coordinated his look by opting for a burgundy-and-black suit.

Earlier this month, Biles clapped back at a commenter questioning why she scored an invite to the event, which read, “When has Simone Biles and Taylor Swift even spoken to each other?😂.” Biles cheekily replied, “Remember this, I only show y’all what I want y’all to know.”
The pair’s friendship spans back a decade, when the pop star, 36, publicly supported Team USA’s gymnastics squad during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. Biles also showed love by performing to Swift’s song “…Ready for It?” during the 2024 Olympic trials.
During her latest appearance at the Faces of Fitness festival event, the olympian gave a 25-minute presentation discussing the importance of mental health in sports. Biles has earned seven gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals during her illustrious career.
