Revisiting Taylor Swift’s History With Dior Before Lavish MSG Wedding

Taylor Swift was a Dior bride after a lengthy history with the storied fashion label.

“The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture,” a July 2026 statement shared with Us Weekly read, revealing both Swift and now-husband Travis Kelce donned ensembles crafted by the brand. “They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom.”

Swift’s bridal look, in particular, was Anderson’s first couture wedding gown made for a world-renowned celebrity.

“Christian Dior Haute Couture is delighted to confirm it has created the wedding looks for the marriage of Taylor and Travis,” a separate statement from Dior read. “The looks have been created in Dior’s ateliers at 30 Avenue Montaigne, Paris in close collaboration with the couple. Jonathan Anderson and the house of Dior extend their congratulations to the Bride and Groom.”

The pop star accessorized her wedding dress with custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry.

Even before her July 2026 wedding day, Swift donned multiple pieces from the brand over the years. Keep scrolling for her best looks:

Swift first sparked rumors that she had written a song for Toy Story 5 after pairing a blue Staud sundress with a yellow Mini Lady bag from Dior while out to dinner in New York City. (The animated film franchise uses blue and yellow in its logo.)

Months later in June 2026, Swift released “I Knew It, I Knew You” for the film’s soundtrack.

Swift walked down the aisle in a bespoke Dior couture gown, which was crafted “in collaboration” with designer Jonathan Anderson. Kelce also wore custom Dior for the ceremony.

Yes, There’s an Easter Egg for That

As Swift started stepping out in more Dior amid her engagement to Kelce, eagle-eyed fans quickly connected her wardrobe to her Life of the Showgirl songs about the groom.

“There is one bar that is heavily associated with Christian Dior and that is the bar at the Plaza Athénée,” one social media user pointed out in a 2026 social media video. “He loved the bar so much that he imagined the bar suit to be the perfect look for drinking cocktails at the bar of the hotel.”

The individual further noted that the Dior founder was “fascinated” with the hotel, even hosting his debut collection at the Plaza Athénée. The range even featured one dress named “Plaza” and another named “Athénée,” and as the luxury label changed hands, each designer has put their own spin on a bar jacket.

Swift later name-dropped “Plaza Athénée” on her 2026 song “Elizabeth Taylor.”

“That view of Portofino was on my mind when you called me at the Plaza Athénée / Ooh-ooh, oftentimes it doesn’t feel so glamorous to be me,” she sings. “All the right guys promised they’d stay / Under bright lights, they withered away / But you bloom.”

Named after iconic actress Elizabeth Taylor, Swift’s song dotes over her romance with Kelce.

“It’s got to do with fame, attention, love, notoriety [and] anxiety that this isn’t going to be forever, and how heartbroken would you be then?” Swift explained of her musical inspiration in “Release Party of a Showgirl” in October 2026. “The first line that I came up with was, ‘I cry my eyes violet, Elizabeth Taylor,’ and from that point on I was obsessed with this song. I wanted to tell a story that referenced some of the cool things about her life, but also are parallel to mine. I used details from her life, but the feelings of what it conveys are things I’ve absolutely experienced time and time again.”
