What about that third spot? Until April 2016, it was held by Grand Theft Auto V. That’s when Fallout 4 released and grabbed the spot, but its numbers quickly fell. Now, Fallout 4 has been replaced by PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).
PUBG achieved its peak concurrent player count of 481,291 people this July, and that number is only set to grow as the title’s popularity improves and the developers make it more stable.
The number 2 seat, though, is held by Counter-Srike: GO with a whopping record of 850,485 players playing at once. I’m not sure PUBG can get there. Stay tuned.
