OnePlus 5T announced: Everything you need to know

The OnePlus 5T still maintains the dual camera arrangement, but the secondary shooter now features a larger f/1.7 aperture. OnePlus has also included a feature called Intelligent Pixel Technology, which merges 4 pixels into one for improved low light performance.

Finally, there’s a Face Unlock biometric option that sounds similar in execution to Apple’s Face ID (whether it’s as advanced is another matter). By using over 100 identifiers, OnePlus 5T owners will be able to unlock the device by just looking at it. This is something we’re curious to test once we get our hands on the device.

OnePlus is also introducing a feature called Parallel Apps, which allows users to clone apps, such as Facebook, so they can use the same app with two different accounts.

All of the new features arrive to complement the features introduced with the OnePlus 5, including Reading Mode, Expanded Screenshot, and Gaming Do Not Disturb. It’s a thoughtful—albeit, expected—upgrade to the OnePlus 5.

If you want to read through the OnePlus 5T’s spec sheet, that’s below. Customers will be able to get the OnePlus 5T with either 64GB of storage or 128GB of storage, with prices starting at $499. The device goes on sale beginning November 21.
