The Shield Tablet K1 was already a pretty sweet deal at just $200, but it looks even more attractive now that it’s running Google’s latest operating system. Nougat is a massive update that you’re going to want to get your hands on right away.

In addition to split-screen, it adds the quick switch feature that lets you jump between your two most recently-used apps by double-tapping the overview button, and the ability to reply to messages from within a notification.

It also brings improved Doze for better battery life, the Vulkan API for greater games, the latest Unicode 9.0 emoji characters, and customizable Quick Settings. NVIDIA has also improved things like Shield controller support and the JIT compiler.

NVIDIA says it is staggering this release over the course of the next few days to ensure a seamless update experience for all users. Don’t worry if you don’t see it immediately, then; it will be making its way to your Shield Tablet very soon.
