North West is stepping fully into her edgy fashion era.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye “Ye” West’s eldest daughter, 12, rocked a new (likely faux) bridge piercing with her blacked-out grill and flashy 106-carat custom skull necklace in a new TikTok clip posted on Sunday, January 4. (A bridge piercing is a horizontal surface piercing through the skin on the bridge of the nose, often using a barbell or ring.)
In one of several recent social media clips, North gives a close-up look at the shining silver bling and matching crystals under her eyes. North and a friend both rocked ball-shaped piercing looks on their faces while dancing and lip-syncing to some of their favorite songs. The bridge piercing appeared to be easy to take off and put on as it was not featured in her most recent post.
Jeweler Alex Moss, who created the skull necklace and also recently made a custom bracelet for North, spoke out about the “one-of-a-kind” pieces that were gifted to North by Kardashian, 45, for Christmas.
Moss told People the spike necklace chain and skull pendant were made with 71.49 and 35.38 carats of natural diamonds respectively. The jeweler said the necklace was inspired by his 2018 design worn by Playboi Carti. As for North’s bracelet, it was made of Italian leather from Tuscany and features 22.76 carats of natural VVS white diamonds. The design is based on a similar piece owned by North paired with a design Moss did for rapper Ken Carson in 2022.
Similar to her famous parents, North has proved that she’s not afraid to experiment with her style and to stand out. She notably wore sparkling fang-like grills via social media over the holidays after debuting her black grills in October.
In recent weeks, she’s also bleached her eyebrows and displayed a series of faux face tattoos, including a star under her eye and her name written in cursive on her other cheek.
While enjoying a trip to Rome with her mom in late August, North was spotted with a dermal piercing on her right middle finger. A dermal piercing lies flat against the skin and does not have a separate entry or exit point, according to beauty and style publication Brydie.
Kardashian spoke out in defense of her daughter’s fashion choices a few months ago, saying she encourages North’s creative self-expression during an October 15 appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

“She’s really mature in one sense where she’ll be like, ‘Mom, I saw this and I don’t really care that they don’t like… my blue hair or this or that,’” Kardashian told host Alex Cooper. “She’s really confident and is like, ‘I probably wouldn’t be hanging out with those people.’”
Kardashian also asked for “grace” while admitting that she sometimes makes mistakes as a parent but is going with the flow.
“I’m like, ‘OK, we’re never wearing that again,’” Kardashian added. “Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.’ As a mom, you’re kind of like learning at the same time.”
