While the new model looks like it’s getting nothing more than a convertible upgrade, the Roadster is actually lighter and more durable than a normal Huayra. Using a carbon fiber-titanium hybrid material known as Carbo-Triax HP52, the Huarya Roadster weighs nearly 200 pounds less than the Coupe.
The new Roadster also comes packing a 7-speed sequential gearbox and the Mercedes-AMG-built twin-turbo V12 engine, which is good for 764 horsepower. Buyers have two different roofs to choose from; one is made from carbon fiber with a glass window and the other is fabric, which can be stored in the car.
The automaker plans to build 100 of the Huayra Roadster at about $2.4 million a pop. Sadly, all of them have already been sold, so you’ve already missed your window of opportunity.
At least we have these pictures to gawk at.
