Nintendo did what only Nintendo can do this year at E3, announcing a long-awaited Metroid Prime sequel with nary but a game logo to prove its existence. No video, no gameplay, not even a screenshot was provided. But still, because it’s Metroid, and because it’s Nintendo, we’re all sitting here salivating. But it sounds like we’re going to be salivating a bit longer, because Metroid Prime 4 may not be a 2018 game.
After its latest financials call, Nintendo released a document summarizing those financials and dropping release dates or release windows for every game the company has announced.
In the list are games like a Fire Emblem game for Nintendo Switch and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle with a firm 2018 release window. The Pokémon RPG, also announced with a logo at E3 2017, is scheduled for “2018 or later.â€
