If you follow Microsoft at all, though, you’ll know this is nothing new. Just about every piece of hardware Microsoft puts out has some sort of message on it. My old Zune and my Xbox controller both say “Hello from Seattle,†the most common message the company packs into its hardware.
It’s a minor thing, but it’s a reminder that the company is made of people, and it almost feels like they’re sending the console into space with a message on it, like the Voyager golden record.
The Xbox One X is just weeks away, set to release on November 7. Microsoft is calling the Xbox One X the most powerful console ever made, and the numbers back up the claims. The beast packs 6 TFLOPS of processing power – about four times that of the Xbox One and one and a half times that of the PlayStation 4 Pro’s 4.2 TFLOPS. The system also packs 12GB of RAM to the Pro’s 8GB, and the RAM has one and a half times as much bandwidth as Sony’s system. Any good gamer knows you go where the games are, but there’s no denying this is a powerful gaming console.
