The optional upgrade started making the rounds for some variants of the G4 in Europe on Wednesday, and is expected to make its way to the unlocked model in the United States by the end of August.
For those unfamiliar, the Nougat update brings a slew of new features to the table, including enhanced notifications, improved application permissions, and new emoji, in addition to a slew of vital bug fixes.
Released back in 2015, the G4 put LG’s flagship G range on the map, with its 5.5-inch qHD display, Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16MP rear-facing camera and 3,000mAh battery.
