Two astronauts are set to take a spacewalk to start Thursday around 8:05 a.m. ET. This will be a initial of three spacewalks this month for upkeep during a International Space Station.

During a initial spacewalk, NASA astronauts Randy Bresnik and Mark Vande Hei will reinstate one of dual Latching End Effectors (LEE) on a station’s robotic arm, Canadarm2. A gangling LEE is stored outward on a station’s truss.

Canadarm2 has dual matching LEEs that are used to fastener visiting load vehicles and payloads, yield information and telemetry to a rest of a Canadian-built Mobile Base System and means a singular capability to “walk” from one plcae on a station’s constrict to another.
