Into the Breach announced, a tactics game from the makers of the amazing FTL: Faster Than Light

Subset Games, the creators of FTL: Faster Than Light, have revealed their next project. It’s called Into the Breach, it’s a tactics game, it’s coming to Windows, Mac and Linux and it’s launching when the devs “feel it’s ready.”

That last bit is the only depressing new we have, because this game looks fantastic. Have a look, first, at the trailer.

This turn-based strategy game will feature mechs, aliens, mech building and time travel. Yes, time travel! Here’s the rub from their official site.

The remnants of human civilization are threatened by gigantic creatures breeding beneath the earth. You must control powerful mechs from the future to hold off this alien threat. Each attempt to save the world presents a new randomly generated challenge in this turn-based strategy game.
