Hundreds of passed sea turtles found off El Salvador

A group of investigators headed out to waters off a seashore of El Salvador after hundreds of involved sea turtles were found passed underneath puzzling circumstances. 

The country’s environment method pronounced in a news release that a officers found a turtles floating in a Pacific offshore from Jiquilisco Bay, that is about 80 kilometres southeast from San Salvador.

The method said that, over a weekend, it found some 300 to 400 passed chelonian turtles, that are listed as endangered by a International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Investigators took samples for laboratory tests to establish a means of death.

While they are capricious what caused a deaths, NASA satellite images advise chlorophyll levels off a coast have increasing to 12 milligrams per cubic metre, distant above a normal rate of a approximately 3 milligrams per cubic metre. 

High chlorophyll levels can means poisonous algae blooms in oceans and lakes, yet it’s misleading if this occurred.

“These algae blooms are quite fatal since they furnish toxins that can impact sea life as good as humans,” Liles, executive of a turtle charge classification ProCosta, told As It Happens host Carol Off.

Hundreds of passed turtles were also found off a seashore in 2013, that authorities pronounced was due to a turtles carrying eaten poisonous algae.
