Huawei unveiled the Magic 2, its latest flagship smartphone at IFA 2018 in Berlin, Germany. President of Honor George Zhao took the stage during the presentation, announcing the follow-up of the 2016 Magic and in the process jumping on the most recent smartphone trend: pop-up cameras.

The Magic 2 comes with what Honor is calling an intelligent Magic Slide feature, which is a slide mechanism in the display to reveal a camera. Honor did not get into specifics about how exactly the feature works, but it did enable it to exclude pesky bezels and annoying notches while delivering a beautiful edge-to-edge display that Honor says is nearly 100-percent screen-to-body ratio. It did not, however, give the exact screen-to-body ratio percentage during the presentation.

It will be the first Honor phone powered by the Kirin 980 processor, which will be responsible for handling the smartphone’s AI capabilities. Another noteworthy feature the phone is coming with is the 40W Magic Charge which will fast charge the phone.

Sadly, Honor did not reveal pricing or a release date for the Magic 2.
