Holiday Giveaway: HTC U11 Life & Google Home!

Up for grabs this week is a prize bundle headed by HTC. It includes the company’s U11 Life, which was just announced with global availability, and a Google Home.

You can classify the U11 Life as a mid-range phone, but certainly doesn’t look or feel like one. The U11 Life features a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920×1080) Super LCD display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630, 16MP cameras on the front and back, a 2600mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner, and Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC Sense. And all that is stored in a body made of acrylic glass. The way light shines off the blue back panel is just stunning.

HTC also packed Edge Sense and USonic into its latest mobile device. The U11 Life wants you to squeeze it. Yes, you read that right. It has a pressure-sensitive body that allows you to quickly launch Google Assistant, the camera, and your favorite apps. Then, within certain apps, you can squeeze the phone to complete specific actions. Instagram, Google Maps, and Google Play Music are among the apps that official support Edge Sense.

USonic, meanwhile, is an enhanced audio experience. HTC’s U11 Life uses the earbuds to enable high resolution sound and active noise cancelation.

As for Google Home, you’re probably well aware of what’s possible. It’s a home-based digital assistant powered by Google Assistant. Sync your accounts with the device and it’ll serve up valuable information and respond to the countless requests you have. Google Home is nothing more than an “OK Google” away from helping provide weather and traffic reports, turning on/off lights, and casting videos to your television.
