Here’s the first trailer for Rampage, Dwayne Johnson’s monster movie

The movie expands on the idea a bit. The Rock plays a primatologist named Davis Okoye, who has raised a gorilla named George since he was a baby. A genetic experiement causes George to begin growing to enormous size. Along with George, a wolf and alligator have received the same treatment. As usual, The Rock is the only one that can save us from George and, more importantly, George from us. He teams up with a “discredited genetic engineer” to obtain and deliver an antidote to these animals before anyone else gets hurt.

It’s a silly, fun idea for a movie that will probably be worth the price of popcorn and fits the Rock’s style perfectly. If we’re going to count it as a video game movie, it might be the most entertaining video game movie yet. I’ll admit I was expecting something a bit more cartoonish and comedic, but all the same, I’m stoked.
