Hailey Bieber Shares Laid-Back Style Motto on Couple Outfits With Justin
Hailey Bieber shared what she really thinks of her and Justin Bieber’s contrasting looks when out and about or hitting up a star-studded event.
Hailey, 29, opened up about her and Justin’s personal styles while chatting with Interview Magazine on Tuesday, April 14. “We both just really like expressing ourselves through our style and supporting each other’s individualism,” she said of their sometimes-coordinating, sometimes-clashing wardrobes.
“When we go on a carpet together or something, nobody wants to clash or look crazy, and it’s not very often that we do that,” she added. “Obviously, we’ll talk about what the other person’s wearing, but on a day-to-day basis, I’m like, ‘I don’t give a s*** what you want to wear. Are you comfortable? Do you feel good?’ That’s all that matters to me.”
As for her personal style, Hailey shared that she gets inspo from stars like Rihanna who ooze confidence in addition to seeing what others wear around her. “I’ve worn things where it’s like, ‘I love this dress, I feel stunning.’ And I get on the carpet and I’m like, ‘That looks strange,’” she said, noting she occasionally has a look that she feels like she’s “flopping” in.

“At my core, I feel the coolest and the cutest and the sexiest in a T-shirt and jeans or a pair of great trousers and a little tank top,” Hailey said. “I think there’s something to be said about effortlessness. The more I try to make an outfit look good, the less it works. It doesn’t need to be that deep.”
Hailey previously opened up about her and Justin’s fashion sense in a November 2023 GQ cover story after the couple went viral for looking like they were attending separate events with their outfits.
“It’s so funny because I see so many people talk about this,” she laughed. “He may want to wear baggy sweats to dinner, and I might want to wear a tiny little dress just because that’s how I’m feeling. We can’t sit there and be like, ‘So I’m going to wear this and you’re going to wear this.’”
