Google’s replacing defective Pixel, Pixel XL units

If you’ve been experiencing an issue with a microphone on your Pixel or Pixel XL, we have some good news — Google has taken responsibility for the hardware-related problem, which dates back to December, and is offering affected customers a replacement device under warranty.

According to the firm’s Support Forum, the bug is said to be present on “less than one percent” of units and can affect any — if not all — of the three microphones on board, usually resulting in the handset not picking up any audio during calls or while recording video.
