Godzilla: King of the Monsters Trailer is Full of Jaw-Dropping Kaiju Mayhem

You know, I had pretty low expectations for Godzilla: King of the Monsters after the latest reboot. But the new trailer for the much-anticipated follow-up is very impressive, with plenty of jaw-dropping Kaiju mayhem.

Seriously, it’s a beautiful trailer, giving us a pretty good look at many of the new monsters joining the fray. (When I say new monsters, I mean Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah, the latter of which is a three-headed death machine.)

Here’s the movie’s official synopsis:

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemisis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all view for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Starring Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, and Millie Bobby Brown, Godzilla: King of the Monsters hits theaters on May 31, 2019.
