Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ stroll through the FCC

Samsung’s 2018 flagship is coming. Both the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ just made an appearance on the FCC’s database, which indicates they’re not too far from becoming official.

Model numbers for the duo were made public in the filing.

The model numbers for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are SM-G960F and SM-965F, respectively. And, to no surprise, they align with model numbers for previous Samsung-made phones.

Specifications haven’t been confirmed, but the company isn’t likely to overhaul anything in going from the Galaxy S8 to the Galaxy S9. Samsung seems to be implementing minor upgrades internally while maintaining a similar design.

Once again, it looks like the Galaxy S9 will make its global debut at MWC 2018 in late February. The annual trade show appears to be where Samsung will unveil its next flagship to steal all the attention from other companies. It’ll certainly prove to be troublesome for LG, which typically introduces the next member of the G series at the trade show in Barcelona.
